On October 5, 2024, the Inter-Sussex Chess Tournament lit up the halls of Sussex College Kiribathgoda, where Sussex College Kandy proudly claimed the championship and Kiribathgoda College secured the runners-up while Negombo College won the 2nd runners-up.
